Endau Rompin is Malaysia's second National Park. The rainforest is centuries-old and is home to many species of birds, mammals, frogs, insects and other wild animals, as well as varieties of orchids, herbs, medicinal plants and trees. It is home to the largest surviving population of Sumatran Rhinos in Peninsular Malaysia and other wild animals such as tigers, leopards and elephants. The 50,000 hectares forest is protected and only certain areas of the park are open for ecotourism. An opportunity to visit the Endau Rompin National Park is a must when in Johor.
